How this site works

Who we are

NorwayJPS Parent Community is a group of Norway parents trying to make the useful stuff easier to find: events, volunteers, donations, ideas, and community help. We’re not a registered charity and not an official school channel — we’re just parents doing the coordination work.

Why we call it “unofficial”

The school has its own official website, its own official communications, and its own official processes. We’re none of those. Calling ourselves unofficial is a feature, not modesty: it lets us move faster and not be mistaken for a school spokesperson.

Donations to the school

We’re parent-built and unofficial. For school donations, we send you to SchoolCashOnline, the TDSB-approved portal. We don’t hold donation money. Firm commitment: no money earmarked “for the school” ever passes through our payment processor.

Dasha’s spirit-wear

The spirit-wear section is Dasha’s independent parent-run art project — Norway-themed stickers, patches, and eventually shirts and hoodies, made by a local parent. Payments for those go through Dasha’s own Stripe account.

Privacy

We only collect what we need to run events and communicate with parents who’ve opted in. Full details in our Privacy policy. Under CASL we only send marketing email to parents who’ve explicitly opted in, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
